Organization.

For the purpose of this blog entry I looked up the word organized on merriam-webster.com. My 3 favorite definitions are:
-to form into a coherent unity or functioning whole
-to arrange by systematic planning and united effort
-to arrange elements into a whole of interdependent parts

So to add to these phrases, I show you 1000 words x 5

*le sigh..* Aren't they beautiful?

I've never been terribly organized. My family's house looks just as lived in as it is, and while I love my home for that - I don't enjoy my dorm being a hot lived in mess. I mean, it's sanitary... it's just very disorganized.

I adore organized clutter. And I think I'm half decent at creating it. :) Just not quite as decent at maintaining it.

I read once when you go to put something off until later (in my case: rinsing a dish, hanging up a coat, putting a book back on the shelf, etc..) it helps to ask "Will I want to do this later?" The answer, I find, is more than likely a big fat N-O! And I find it helps me to remember to be tidy

My biggest problem is my desk and closet. Desk... papers and books. All the time. It never gets clean.. ever :( And with my closet.. it looks really nice for the first 4 days of the semester, then my shoes get taken off all about the room and the laundry doesn't fit in the closet/drawers quite the same way... it's frustrating!I know part of the problem there is putting off laundry too long.

So I guess the new year is a good a time as any to start this venture.
